Organizer details

The trip is organized and delivered by Sensen Travel in collaboration with NorBAN. All transport and lodging are provided by Sensen Travel. The TONIK conference and related events are organized by the faroese startup accelerator Hugskotid. During group activities you will be accompanied by an organizer from NorBAN as well as local representatives.

Please note that while we are getting the best possible pricing for this event the prices are variable due to flexible pricing for underlying flight tickets and hotel stays that causes the costs to increase closer to the travel dates we get. Prices are therefore starting at NOK 14 995,- for the early-bird tickets in february, and increases to NOK 18 995,- for later bookings.
Please note that further adjustments can be made if required by price changes or if hotels or flights reaches capacity.

What is included

The package price for the trip includes all of the following elements:

• Round trip flights direct from Oslo Airport to Vágar Airport in the Faeroe Islands with Atlantic Airways and round trip airport transfers from Vágar Airport to Tórshavn
• Four nights lodging and breakfast at the 4 star Hotel Hafnia in Tórshavn
• Study visits to interesting local businesses to learn about the Faroese business community
• Full day pre-conference activity for VIP guests and speakers on Thursday the 7th of May
• Full access to the TONIK conference and afterparty on Friday the 8th of May
• Light meals and drinks at the TONIK pre-event and conference
• Free day for self organized sightseeing on Saturday the 10th of May
• One year free NorBAN Insider membership for the participant

However, participants must be prepared to cover any of the following items at their own additional expense:

• Any required travel or transport to and from Oslo Airport in time for the flights
• Lunch and Dinner each of the days except at the TONIK pre-event and conference
• Any additional drinks beyond what is provided at the TONIK pre-event and conference
• Any costs incurred for free time activities or outside of the programme
• Any additional transportation required to get around Torshavn outside of organized visits

• Wednesday 6^th of May:
  • Meet us at Oslo Airport for a direct flight to Vágar with Atlantic Airways departing at 11:05
  • 12 – 13: Arrival at Vágar with Atlantic Airways and transportation to Tórshavn
  • 13 – 15: Lunch, Hotel check-in and free time
  • 15 – 19: Pre-conference VIP sightseeing activity with TONIK
  • 20 – 22: Pre-conference VIP Networking Reception
• Thursday 7^th of May:
  • 7 – 10: Breakfast at Hotel Hafnia
  • 09 – 12: Multiple workshops available (voluntary) or Free time and Lunch
  • 12 – 15: Private study visit at a local distillery/brewery
  • 15 – 18: Breathtaking Tour of the Faroese Art Scene
  • 18 – 20: Dinner Networking for Startups, Investors, Artists
  • 20 – 23: Investor After Hours Meetup with FarBAN – The Faeroe Island Business Angel Network
• Friday 8^th of May:
  •  7 – 10: Breakfast at Hotel Hafnia
  • 09 – 23: TONIK startup conference with lunch, dinner and afterparty
• Saturday 9^th of May:
  •  7 – 10: Breakfast at Hotel Hafnia
  • Free day for sightseeing – Some suggested activities:
    • Renting a car to go sightseeing around the islands
    • Walking around Tórshavnand visiting museums/distilleries/brewhouses
    • Going hiking from Tórshavn to the Kirkebø ruins
    • Ocean daytrip with sightseeing at Nólsoy
  • 19 – 22:  Private dinner and mingling with the TONIK conference organizers
• Sunday 10^th of May:
  • 7 – 10: Breakfast at Hotel Hafnia
  • 11 – 12: Transportation from Tórshavn to Vágar airport
  • 13 – 15: Return flight direct to Oslo airport with Atlantic Airways departing at 13:15
  • Return home at own cost and transportation.

Terms and conditions

The package trip is sold and provided by Sensen Travel in the Faroe Islands, their terms and conditions apply once the tickets have been issued.

• All participants are responsible to ensure that they meet on time and in suitable clothing and gear for any transport or activity on the programme.
• No refunds or discounts will be provided if you are unable to participate in any part of the program at any time, including missing flights or boat departures. In such cases you will be responsible to catch up with the scheduled program at your own cost, if possible.
• Name change permitted before travel date for DKK 700,00
• Cancellation up to 30 days prior to departure incurs a penalty of 50% of cost.
  No refund possible less than 30 days before.
• A full refund is possible only in case the trip is made impossible by force majeure conditions at the destination, including war, natural distasters, pandemic diseases, or similar events.
