NorBAN Expert Initiatives
Within the NorBAN network we have a set of Expert Initiatives that are member-led self-organized groups running workshops and coordinating members for public outreach, competency development and joint startup evaluation within each specific topic or field of interest. Please reach out to any group lead directly if you have questions or inputs for a group, or if you as a member would like to get involved with a specific group and join any of their activities.
Defence & Security
Focuses on investment opportunities, risks, and responsibilities within defence, dual-use, and security-related technologies. The group develops insight on regulatory frameworks, geopolitical dynamics, and investor positioning in a rapidly evolving landscape.
Board Effectiveness
Strengthens governance quality in portfolio companies by advancing best practices in board composition, roles, and performance. The group provides guidance on value-creating board work from an investor perspective.

Equality & Diversity
Promotes more inclusive investment practices by improving diversity in deal flow, decision-making, and portfolio development. The group identifies barriers, shares best practices, and drives initiatives that strengthen equality across the ecosystem.

Rita is Chair of the EBAN Gender Equality initiative, a consultant for UN Women and a co-founder of Women Investor Network Norway.
Public policy & Regulation
Focuses on strengthening the regulatory and policy environment for early-stage investing and startups in Norway. Also monitors developments in national and European frameworks, assessing how regulatory requirements impact investors and their companies.
