More than 250,000 men and women in Norway are currently involved in “early-stage entrepreneurial activity”, and a survey carried out by MMI for DNB in 2012 shows that one in ten Norwegians hopes to start a business of their own.
At the same time, figures from the European Commission show that more than 85 per cent of the new jobs created over the last ten years came from small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).
With this conference, NorBAN aims to give participants a better understanding of the important role early-stage investment plays in Norway today, and of the opportunities it offers.
