NorBAN newsletter

NorBAN newsletter Q3 2026: knowledge base, IEE Summit at OIW, Erasmus for Young Entrepreneurs, Waykup Murcia and the angel investing course

This newsletter was sent to NorBAN’s subscribers on 9 October 2026. Dates, offers and links are as they were at the time.

Hello,

Our apologies for not being in touch for a while – or at all.

We did not send a newsletter in Q2, and we have also discovered that sign-ups to the newsletter have not been added to the mailing list since last year. This is now fixed, so welcome to everyone receiving the newsletter for the first time.

This quarter’s news – more on each below:

Besides the items below, we have completed a number of deliverables in several international projects, and we have recently finished a major update of the content on our website – tidying and improving most of it – including a full Norwegian translation of the whole site.

Our regular activities continue, with monthly Angel Mixers and quarterly Startup Spotlights for members; the latest Spotlight was part of the student conference SnartupFest in August. We have also moved to Luma as our main channel for events, so you will find all upcoming events in our Luma calendar.

Kind regards,

NorBAN board, Svein-Magnus Sørensen, chairman

NorBAN launches its knowledge base

NorBAN Knowledge Base banner: investing or raising

As part of a larger content update on the NorBAN website, we are pleased to launch a knowledge base on early-stage investing that covers what you need to know about financing companies, with articles written from both the investor’s and the founder’s perspective. The articles go into depth and are grounded in Norwegian law and case law, which makes them considerably more concrete and relevant than general international advice.

The foundational articles are open to everyone, while the more in-depth investor articles are for members only. All startup articles are available to everyone, though most require a simple registration to read.

For now the articles are in English only; a Norwegian translation is in preparation and will be available shortly.

The full knowledge base is at norban.no/knowledge

Next conference: Oslo Innovation Week

International Entrepreneurial Exchange Summit at Oslo Innovation Week

As usual, the NorBAN administration takes an active part in Oslo Innovation Week, and this year we again co-organise an event: the International Entrepreneurial Exchange Summit, focused on entrepreneurship exchange, together with partners including the Barents Secretariat and Gründerskolen at the University of Oslo. Join us if you are a founder who wants to develop your business abroad, or an ecosystem player who wants to know what opportunities are available to the companies you work with.
