Training program for business angels
Learn how to connect with startups and how to make investments
BUSINESS ANGELS are private individuals who invest a modest amount of money in startups, together with their expertise, time and network, so that the companies can take the next step.
Business angels are particularly important in Northern Norway, where there is little tradition of investing systematically in early-stage companies.
Studies suggest that two thirds of private-sector job creation happens in startups, so business angels are critical if Northern Norway is to develop as an attractive region.
Because relatively little is invested in startups in Northern Norway, business angels may also find better investment opportunities and higher returns in the north than elsewhere in the country.

BAN has more than 500 members who work together on a shared communication platform, CROWDWORKS.
In the program you will meet pre-selected startups from Arctic Accelerator, the Northern Norwegian technology accelerator. They represent the most promising early-stage companies in the region, so participants have a good selection to practise on.
The program suits anyone who wants to learn more about investing in startups and is open to all. The typical participant has relevant expertise and some capacity to invest smaller amounts in funding rounds alongside other business angels.
