About NorBAN
NorBAN – the Norwegian Business Angel Network – is the national non-profit interest organisation for business angels: private investors who put their own money, time and experience into startups.

By angels, for angels
NorBAN is run by people who are angel investors themselves. We are not a fund, and we are not consultants who only talk about investing – we all invest ourselves, and we work together to further the interests of angel investors in Norway. When we advise startups, that advice comes from people who have sat on the investor side of the table.
Membership is primarily for active angel investors, but we also welcome funds, service providers and other organizations to join us as partners, and we are open to any actor in the early-stage startup ecosystem.
Be advised that NorBAN as an organization does not invest and makes no investment decisions.
Our members decide for themselves, individually or together with other angels.
Founded 2010, merged 2023
Today's organization was formed when NorBAN (founded 2010) and Business Angels Norway (founded 2016) merged in 2023.
Built on Individual Memberships
With more than 50 direct members and over 200 associated investors taking part in the network, we are the leading nationwide actor in the Norwegian ecosystem.
A network of Networks
To provide nationwide support we work with a dozen regional and sector-specific angel groups, representing hundreds of angel investors.
Training to enable more angels
Our training programmes in angel investing have prepared more than 500 angel investors across Norway since 2016.
What we do
Four goals guide everything NorBAN does, and we collaborate with others towards all of them.
We train angels
Courses, programmes and knowledge bases that help new and experienced angels invest with more discipline.
We give angels a network
Member meetups in Oslo, events with regional angel groups and group trips to Nordic investor conferences.
We provide dealflow
Early access to startups raising capital, through member channels, Startup Spotlight and our partners.
We represent angels
